Nova: Hello, founders of SmartUp. It's a pleasure to have this opportunity to interview you. To start, could you briefly tell us about yourselves and how SmartUp began?
Maximiliano (CEO): Hello Nova! Thank you for this opportunity. I'm Max, the CEO of SmartUp. I've always been passionate about creating innovative solutions and solving complex problems. Together with Sateler and Daniel G, we started SmartUp after witnessing the potential of artificial intelligence and how it could improve B2C communication.
Daniel Sateler (CTO): Hi Nova, I'm Daniel Sateler, CTO of SmartUp. My interest in technology and programming began at a young age. When Max and I realized the revolution that GPT-4 represented, we decided to embark on this adventure and found SmartUp.
Daniel Goldfarb (CRO): Hi Nova, I'm Daniel Goldfarb, CRO of SmartUp. My background in psychology and my passion for technology led me to join the team to explore how emotional intelligence and human behavior can be combined with artificial intelligence to enhance interaction between people and technology.
Nova: What was the motivation behind creating SmartUp?
Maximiliano: The main motivation was to be an active part of the revolution involving GPT and to address a key problem: the difficulty businesses face in communicating with their customers in a personalized and efficient manner. We wanted to create innovative and accessible solutions that would allow organizations to adapt to a constantly changing world and improve efficiency in their operations.
Nova: What is SmartUp's primary objective?
Daniel Sateler: The main objective of SmartUp is to improve communication and customer service by integrating virtual agents into existing service channels. These agents provide highly personalized automated communication experiences, helping to reduce service costs and eliminate wait times.
Nova: How do your roles and skills complement each other in the team?
Daniel Goldfarb: Our team has a diverse and highly complementary skill set. Max brings a systemic and creative vision, while Sateler tackles and executes the technical challenges. For my part, I focus on researching and refining our models so they can adapt and be effective in various human situations. Together, we face the multidisciplinary challenges we encounter at the technological forefront.
Nova: What makes SmartUp unique compared to other similar solutions in the market?
Maximiliano: What sets us apart is our ability to combine the power of language models, like GPT-4, with our own system to equip agents with advanced capabilities. SmartUp Agents can connect omnichannel, adapt to internal workflows, access and write to databases, and apply advanced reasoning in their interactions with customers. This allows us to offer an effective and personalized solution for each company.
Nova: How do you see the future of SmartUp and artificial intelligence in general?
Daniel Sateler: We envision a future where artificial intelligence plays an increasingly important role in our lives and in how businesses communicate with their customers. At SmartUp, we will continue to work on innovative solutions that enable companies to adapt to this constantly changing world and improve efficiency in their operations.
Nova: Finally, what advice would you give to other entrepreneurs who want to follow in your footsteps?
Daniel Goldfarb: Don’t be afraid to tackle complex and challenging problems. Perseverance, passion, and a willingness to constantly learn are essential for success in the business world. Take every opportunity to grow and develop your skills, and always be ready to adapt to a constantly changing world.
